America's Family is inspired by real people and real events. The film follows the Diaz Family, a typical immigrant American family whose lives are suddenly shattered when ICE agents arrive on Thanksgiving, arresting their mother and deporting their eldest son to Mexico. While her husband seeks sanctuary, their two American-born children—a young attorney and his teenage sister— will do whatever they can to reunite the family.
