HORROR SENSATION “THE WELL”

SCARES UP HALLOWEEN UK RELEASE

Federico Zampaglione’s gruesome horror THE WELL starring Lauren LaVera (Terrifier 3) will be released in UK and Ireland on October 28th by High Fliers Films

Set in a remote Italian village, a young American art restorer is hired by a mysterious duchess to bring a medieval painting back to its former glory. Little does she know she has fallen prey to a cabal of evil witches who drink the blood of tourists to achieve eternal life.

Following its world premiere at Sitges and its UK premiere's at FrightFest Glasgow and Grimmfest Manchester, THE WELL was theatrically released on over 200 screens in South East Asia and 60 screens in Italy where cinemas provided vomit bags to reduce the time it took to clean-up between projections. THE WELL reached #5 in the Italian box office and became the most successful Italian film to be released in Italy in 2024.

“Blood is splattered liberally,
innards are torn out,
and every slash and hack
feels more brutal than the last”
- The Geek Show

Scream queen Lauren LaVera, who plays the final girl in #1 US box office smash Terrifier 3 has won acclaim for her performance in THE WELL which critics have described as "brilliant". "radiant" and "elevating".

“Scream queen Lauren LaVera,
who garnered widespread recognition with Terrifier,
is further proving her brilliance in The Well."
– Film Factual

Comparisons with Terrifier 3 don't end with Lauren LaVera because Italian fan art has already predicted a killer-clown showdown between Art and Aruda; the brutal clown from THE WELL who captures and dismembers tourists.

“Massive, brutish, and bestial,
Aruda is petrifying every second he is on screen”.

THE WELL will arrive on DVD, Bluray and VOD in the UK and Ireland on October 28th where it will be available to stream on Amazon, Sky, Apple, Googleplay, Microsoft and YouTube.
