Breaking Film News: Production Starts on “The Mouse Trap 2: Welcome to the Mickeyverse” Sequel to this Summer's Global Viral Hit Horror Film "The Mouse Trap"

PRODUCTION COMMENCES ON THE MOUSE TRAP 2: WELCOME TO THE MICKEYVERSE

Production on “The Mouse Trap 2: Welcome to The Mickeyverse”  has commenced in Canada. Director Jamie Bailey helms up the sequel after worldwide viral success on “The Mouse Trap."

Bailey states “ We are just getting started. The idea for the next one is much grander than the original. We are creating an entire world to play in with many more open IP characters in way that may surprise people. And it won’t just be animated characters”

The producers have released some concept artwork which hints at the featuring of Minnie Mouse, who also passed into public domain in January this year as she debuted in Steamboat Willie 1928 cartoon.

Production is expected to wrap before Thanksgiving with a release planned for fall 2025.

The first film,  “The Mouse Trap,” garnered huge press attention when their teaser trailer dropped on January 1st, 2024, on Simon Phillips' personal YouTube account and has since been seen by millions of people worldwide.  Gravitas Ventures, An Anthem Sports & Entertainment Company, released the film across North America on all TVOD/digital platforms on August 6th, 2024, and on DVD/Blu-Ray on August 13th, 2024.
