Movie Reaction: ROAD HOUSE

FB/RoadHouseMovie

Like a lot of folks - I was nervous when I first heard someone was going to remake or reboot this movie. I mean, the original is a classic 80's masterpiece...one of the greats! But - I honestly knew Jake Gyllenhaal would do this movie right.

WHAT'S THE MOVIE ABOUT?

Jake G. plays an ex-UFC fighter with a troubled past - he goes by the name of Dalton. One night at a fight club - he gets offered a job to be a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse...only to find out...not only does the place have some cools folks who work there - but - it comes with a lot of drama.

WHAT DID I THINK OF THE MOVIE?

Well, before starting it - I told myself, "Mike. Don't compare it to the original. Keep an open mind." So I did...and I personally enjoyed it. I thought it was a fun watch. I thought it was hella entertaining with some serious action - great fight scenes.

I thought Jake G. as Dalton was great. Dalton's personality (smart ass) was hilarious. I was also a fan of Arturo Castro's role as Moe. He was funny as hell. πŸ˜‚ Cast did good in my opinion. I liked the good people and I liked the bad people in the movie - - - - I even enjoyed watching Mr. Conor McGregor. McGregor's character Knox definitely brought a certain "crazy" to the movie. It was a perfect opposite to Dalton...and man, did they have some great fight scenes together.

I would totally watch ROAD HOUSE again - it's a fun and entertaining ride.
Well - at least for me it was.
